About this site
Marine Conditions is a personal project that displays real-time weather data from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) coastal stations and moored buoys around British Columbia. It is free to use and requires no account or registration.
Data accuracy
All weather observations are sourced from ECCC's publicly available data feeds and are displayed as-is. This site makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data shown. Observations can be delayed, missing, or incorrect due to sensor faults, network issues, or upstream changes at ECCC.
Do not use this site to make decisions where safety is at stake — including but not limited to marine navigation, diving, surfing, or any other activity where current and accurate conditions matter. Always consult official sources such as Environment Canada, Transport Canada, or the Canadian Coast Guard for safety-critical decisions.

This site is intended for personal use. You are welcome to view and share the information displayed here. The weather data is sourced from ECCC and is available under the Open Government Licence – Canada, which permits commercial use of that data.
